It was not too many years after this photo that dad became confined to the house and his breathing mechanisms, thanks to COPD. We had a great trip up there, and between Warroad and International Falls, he pointed out some of the places he had played with his band “Red and the Rythm Masters” in the 1940s. He’s putting flowers on the gravesites of his parents, Minnie and Lawrence, and his brothers Byron and Glenn Saurdiff, Warroad, MN, in 2012
