Saguaro Lake, the most easily accessible of four reservoirs on the Salt River, is a sight for eyes parched by the urban desert landscape. Just about an hour away from Phoenix, Butcher Jones Trail offers majestic views of this lake, its canyon walls, and the wildlife that surrounds it.
It’s 4.9 miles out and back, and when you get on top, it’s one of the most beautiful views of a lake you may ever see.
